Welcome to the 2nd issue of the SEAMEO SEN Bulletin: a half-yearly publication of centre’s news that aimed to share training, researches, collaborations and programmes news. This issue marks one year of the operational of SEAMEO SEN at our temporary office in Melaka.
Recently, the entire family of SEAMEO SEN were deeply sadden with the lost of one of our anchor person who was also like a brother to most of us, the Deputy Director for Training and Consultation Division, Mr. Azman bin Nordin. His absence left a big gap both in the management as well as in our heart. Nevertheless, we will embrace his fighting spirit
and continue to move forward.
I have to be honest it has been a very challenging year, but yet a very positive progress towards the establishment of SEAMEO SEN and upholding Special Needs Education. It takes a lot of hard work, passion and patience. I have to congratulate my team for their persistent hard work which has brought us this far. We have added new staff members which I’m confidence, could be a valuable asset to the centre and further strengthen the core team.
I hope this 2nd issue of our SEAMEO SEN Bulletin could further share our functions and roles as the Regional Centre for Special Education. I would like to also take this opportunity to invite any organizations or parties that is directly or indirectly involved in Special Education to have partnerships and collaborations with the centre.
I would like to end this note with Alhamdulillah, praise to Allah s.w.t
